Abstract

|
The aim of this thesis is to understand the experience of recovery process from alcoholism and influential spirituality on the recovery process through phenomenological method. The procedure of the analysis was done by Giorgi’s five concrete procedures, and as a result, a conclusion of 13 constituents and 34 sub-constituents was drawn. The conditional structure of the subjects was divided into three groups and made the statement of conditional structure according to individuals’ different experience: The beginning of recovery through self-consciousness and reflection, the changed and reborn life, and the joy of spiritual life. Then the general structural statement was induced concerning the influence of spirituality and the experience of the change involved in the recovery experienced by alcoholics. And based on these result, theoretical and practical implication were discussed.
